Fallout: London

Pass on this one

Even looking past the ridiculous level of bugs, which I don't have space to list even a fraction of, this game fails to understand what makes a Fallout or open world game actually work. There are countless walls to your exploration, both areas that are blocked off for no reason until you advance the main quest and literal walls, both visible and invisible, EVERYWHERE. I'm not going to try to speak for all gamers, but invisible walls is something I've found to be almost universally despised and not only are they used heavily, they're used in places that they absolutely don't need to be. The main quest is very linear, you get minimal choice until the final act, and then you're frankly given basically no information beyond the superficial and required to make a choice on which path you're taking to the ending. Several times the story forces you to make obviously stupid decisions, and then rubs your nose in what a bad decision you "made". Most of the side quests are just bland fetch quests that result in no rewards. One that requires you track down items at 8 locations, items which don't exist until you actually accept the quest so you'll probably backtrack at least a little, rewards you a handful of tickets and a ruff, the worthless cosmetic item you could find on every third beefeater. Many of them give you named, but not special, versions of generic weapons you've probably already found dozens of. I don't expect every quest reward to be awesome, but I honestly don't remember a single quest reward I cared about at all. Certainly nothing gear-wise that I was using came from a quest. Even exploring has minimal reward. Lots of random structures with a handful of ghouls (sorry, commuters, which the game makes a point of calling them, and then never calls them) and some ammo. Woo. Found something actually interesting, like the crown jewels? Locked up, can't get them without glitches or console. Great design choice, players hate finding cool things.
