When we were waiting for Doom 3 and Half-Life 2, Far Cry came and took attention from us. Graphics, gameplay were awesome and open ended island concept was new for the FPS games. Game story is also good but game is too long. Last levels of the game is needles and boring the people. Game also has great and easy map making editor called "Sandbox". You can creat your levels as you desire. Go and buy this game, you won't regret.
I played this game when it first released on 1998 and absolutely loved it. I am a big Starlancer, Freelancer and Wing Commander fan and this game gave me that I needed. Thanks Interplay and Volition and great thanks to GOG for giving us a chance to play this awesome game again. If you are loving space sims go and buy this game and Freespace 2. I hope Volition and THQ will make new Freelancer game for it`s fans.
