I have the original game in gog. Recently I started playing the main campaing, and all is fine, works for me but I decided pre order this enhanced version. Well, after give it a try, there are things that have made request a refund: -camera control: worst than the original and with gamepad theres no option to change sensitivity, so if you force the controls, it goes mad. No control at all. Its frustrating. -The font size changes if you play with gamepad or mouse, in chat windows. With gamepad it looks bigger and with mouse it looks very small. Theres no option to adjust the font size. This is a mess. Its quite annoying. -There are some positive changes in what you see in screen, more refined and polished graphics. This is not a remaster. Thats it. Plus, menus like inventory looks better. But for me, like a said, old version works fine. At this state doesnt worth it. Especially if you have the original. Maybe they will patch it, I dont know. Its a great game that deserved something more than a few aesthetic changes, a true remaster.
100 % achievements. Yes, I like this game. The difficulty is well balanced. At the beginning you have to make your character stronger by boosting skills. Some are more important than others and will help you progress faster. You are infected, so you have to control it with serum. Meaning, you have to search in some areas, and maybe use a battery or not to unlock it. It depends on luck. During the game you get skill points. You also get other type of point that are used to unlock items permanently in the armory or can appear randomly in a new run. There are four zones: the suburbs, mountains, sunken city and hell. In each zone there are stops created randomly. There are also one safe area per zone to resupply and a vendor. As for weapons, you have a wide variety of melee weapons. The firearms are varied and customizable. You can add a silencer to avoid attracting attencion. For certain enemies, such as the charger, a simple flare gun will be enough, it will die quickly. And with fire damage boost skill, more fast. This is very useful in the last area where they are wearing armor. Flamethrower or molotov will work too. In stations where you have to activate an engine wich attract a horde, it is simply best to be inside the sandbag perimeter and with a melee weapon hit whoever tries to get inside. Finally, music is great, works fine with the ambience game.
There's no auto aim option; game doesnt save changes in xbox pad configuration when it close and very few clues about how upgrade base station.
