I been playing on Console for about 9-10 full playthroughs since release - So obviously its the RIGHT thing for me. But over the years of trying to evangelize others to Baldur's way, its been difficult, some try on PS premium game trial and didn't try again. A common complaint/note I was given that it's ... overwhelming, with all the text, the long dialogues, the numbers, their meanings, "Why am I missing/damage so low? My strength is high", "What is AC/Save/Modifier/" and all this more tells me, this really isn't just anyone, even with diving in for one of the poster characters. Typical for avid lovers of stories & RPGs, watching/playing DnD prior a plus, and a bit of Loot Goblin. It's NOT for your on the regular FPS player, or people who prefer instense action over story. It may be possible if skip a whole lot, then again you wouldn't know what to do. Feel free a watch a vid or two on it, maybe it'll tickle a bone you didn't know you have. All that to say, a Story/Dialogue Intense Turn-Based TableTop-Simulated RPG on DnD, and promise you - *whispers "It's worth it".
Messy Launch ? Yes. Awesome Game? ALSO YES!! But if your seeing this now you're at a time way after the hype-train prior to release, or even the patches, hotfixes, social discourse, anime revival and DLC that got it where it is today. You're looking for a RPG, a scifi, in future, with Neon, driving cool cars/bikes, hacking people in action, LGBT+ romances, a tear-jerking story that makes psychopath cry, or a horror story that makes even the warmest person feel cold; then you've found it - Cyberpunk 2077. Strongly replayable (no new game plus, but you wouldn't want that, and you also dont feel for it), High Detail (Every poster, ad or data shard - a story to tell, can't even read them all), High Emotion (Retap into feelings old & new), and just fun. You're in for a good time, for a really long time. A game for life, about life. Have Fun. ~ 9 playthroughs, 1900 hours later (PS), replaying again on PC for first time.
