I have spent 20+ years playing Heroes 3. Hundreds, if not thousands of hours were spent playing this game. Even after that much time has passed, Heroes 3 manages to keep me playing for hours on end. Even so much time after I started playing, there are still some small details that I learn from time to time that I never knew. This game is a masterpiece. And it has an ever-flourishing community that keeps on giving. Many, many mods. Of course, there are a few that really stand out and you probably know which I am referring to. If you don't, get the base game and then install Horn of the Abyss mod, you won't regret it. Also, stay away from the cloned abomination called Heroes 3 HD; instead get the HD+ mod, which is fan made and a million times better.
