These guys are CLEARLY ripping off Dead Cells, which is the original and far superior game. I really despise developers / companies that blatantly rip off other games' content as it shows no decision making or ability to think for themselves. Law suit anyone?
This is one of the better RPG's I've played in recent years. Enjoyed this more than the Witcher 3! It's realistic and engaging. Very immersive stuff.. I loved the evolving combat system and the fact that your character is a complete potato at first. You genuinely feel your character learning and getting stronger. Armour in the game is actually really important, it's not just a game based on stats like every other RPG in the world.. combat is realistic and armour will actually save your life. Highly recommended!!!!!
I've actually played through most of the first one and a chunk of the second one. I do like the star wars franchise but most of their games are weak at best. I really don't understand the fascination with this game or the reviews.. Graphics, story, combat, script / characters and level design are all average at best. I cant help but feel most of the reviews are paid reviews or just sock puppet accounts, but then it's highly rated on Metacritic too. I just don't see the fascination myself..
Appreciate this game is old, I've played chess for years and played in a local team here in the UK so I'm probably around the 1800 level usually.. I like to play against shredder on the maximum setting, it's good training. This engine however got demolished on level 9, I had it beat in a Rook and pawn ending, and it took *forever to move* !! Yet on level 1, which is the setting out of the box it moved rather quickly and put up a really good fight initially till it blundered pieces away. Strange engine and weird difficulty settings, I'm not sure if the levels really made a difference other than it taking longer to move? Also the animation as SO slow.. it takes forever for the pieces to move and the animation is choppy and weird.. kind of ruins the whole point of a 3d animated board. Appreciate this game is old.. Also using the 'setup board' feature kind of gets you stuck in that menu and I couldn't find a way back to the main menu, so had to close the game... uninstall..
Clearly this game has taken so many concepts from the Fallout games, including the green menu layouts, UI and animated character portraits. Not to mention the post apocalyptic desert setting. 80% of the game is clearly inspired by the Early Fallout 1 & 2 games, did you think nobody would notice that!? I don't rate the game highly myself, I found the engine un-optimised and combat system clunky and at some times a down right chore. The graphics were pretty but as the name of the game suggests, very few inhabitants and mostly desolated settings. They try and make up for the lack of life by introducing strange, weird characters, but that doesn't mask the poor game play mechanics behind it's shallow graphical exterior. I didn't rate it personally, although it tries to copy Fallout it does so in rather a shallow an un-enjoyable way. They didn't even give any credits or homage to fallout in the description, pretending it's their own creation..please.
Anyone expecting a Fallout game, beware! This is not fallout, a much closer experience is Wasteland, done by Brian Fargo & his team. The problem with this game isn't the graphics or presentation, it's the core game mechanics. More specifically, it's the combat. You will die. A lot. I selected a "pre-made" character, a bruiser... I get into a fight with a single human at the start of the game... I die instantly. Uninstall..
