Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes

Great game

Highly recommended for anyone who likes point and click adventure games. Good graphics, sound, puzzles, characters, story, etc. Nothing to dislike imo.

Guard Duty

It's ok

The game is alright, but it's way too short, has very few puzzles and has a somewhat lame ending. If you want to spend an evening on a quick game in a fun enough setting this might be something to check out.

The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Use the Ultimate Talkie version

The remake is bad, but it does include new voice acting, which is great, but can't be used with the classic version. However, this is easily fixed by installing the Ultimate Talkie version (http://gratissaugen.de/ultimatetalkies/monkey1.html). You can download ScummVM at https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/. Just make sure to enable both the speech and subtitles in ScummVM and press F5 to load, save and quit the game.

Deponia

Awesome point and click adventure

I've played countless point and click adventure games and this is easily one of the best available. Graphics, sound, puzzles, the characters and the whole story are all extremely well done. The only negative would be some of the reviews, which put me off buying this for some time. Luckily I decided to buy it anyway and while playing decided to buy the other parts as well. As I've now finished it here are some further thoughts. Unlike some adventure games you can't die, or mess up forcing you to reload an older savegame, etc. You can simply keep going until you progress further through the game. There's also no silly "arcade" parts or whatever, unlike some of the other adventures, which I think have no place in these type of games. The puzzles are really good and well thought out. I didn't have to get any clues, but the game does give the option to skip some of the puzzles. The story and characters are however just as good as the puzzles. The main character, Rufus, is a bit silly, but that's clearly intentional and fits well in the game. Overall great game. If you like point and click adventures I strongly recommend buying this game. Anyway, time to start up Deponia 2.
