Graveyard Keeper

unused potential

- too much walking and waiting - many game aspects are redundant - some weird bottlenecks/ lack of explanation - DLCs feel unfinished

Mad Max

simple action fun

Pretty much what you get if you expect a mixture of the following: - Ubisoft Open-World formula - made my Just Cause studio - Batman fist fights

Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut

Not Playable

I finally arrived at a game crash at the exact same loading screen which made it not playable for me. That is after endless crashes before and framerate problems right from the start and searching for fixes online (DPfix etc.). You should not buy this game and GOG should be ashamed for selling it. This sucks massive. I'm sure I'd enjoyed this game...

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation + Chronicles

at least LR is good

Last Revelation is a very cool addition to the original three games. It feels a lot more like the second part, while adding cool new features. It was really fun to play through this. But it has some flaws worth mentioning. The whole game is set in Egypt and you can argue that the change of sceneries was a huge part of TRs DNA, which got rid of. In my opinion the gun arsenal is rather boring and i wish they expanded on it. There were some minor level design flaws, where you were just left alone without clues what tf to do (even in TR measurements). The finale was disappointing, no real boss fight like in the first three games. All in all I would give it 4.0 Stars. Chronicles is clearly a decline for the series. While it brings back the different scenarios the game is really short in comparison to the first four games. As it is a collection of Laras adventures in the past the 4 different levels are not connected and you don't carry your items over to each new level. In the third level there is even no gun play. In the final part there is no gun play for a big part of it. (you can argue wether this is good or bad but for me it just feels not complete without using guns.) They really put a lot of cutscenes in and i truly wonder if thats what most recources went into as there was so few of a real TR game in it. The game design was really awful in some parts as it was just trial and error a few dozen times mostly in the last of the 4 scenarios. All that while suffering under the most annoying savegame bugs. I only can give 3.5 Stars.

Sacred 2 Gold

too buggy and just kinda boring

Sadly there are too many annoying bugs even with the community patch installed. It plays more like a singleplayer mmo: generic quests and lots of walking. Gameplay mechanics seem deep but don't keep you challenged.

Tomb Raider 1+2+3

Iconic Games half cooked...

What game and it's character is more iconic than Tomb Raider and Lara Croft? In my opinion the second Tomb Raider game is the prototype of modern 3rd person action games. So many features ahead of its time. Truly astonishing when you go back and take your time to enjoy these old gems once again, realising how much these series added to video game mechanics and culture. - 0.5 Stars for the wonky GOG Version - 0.5 Stars for the many bad gamedesign decisions in Tomb Raider 3
