Developer deliberately leave this mod with bugs, refuse to fix, and gives himself a pat on the back for a job 'well done'. While there's nothing wrong with bringing back cut content, this is where things should have ended, none of this unfair mob stat scaling, and boss modifiers that aren't even in Diablo 2, the game this mod tried to imitate, while it's interesting at first, the developer can't balance worth a damn and end up making it frustrating rather than enjoyable. Worse still, there are unneeded environmental damage in some places that just catches you off guard to the point where you can literally die instantly on higher difficulties, you're not even dying to the boss, you're dying to something that's not really your fault because the traps blend into the background, and in the heat of battle all your efforts go to the waste just because of features added that shouldn't be there, the developer is being a jerk and don't like you actually playing it. There's no redemption about this mod, I don't even know why the developer wasted time bringing it to GOG 10 years later, if you want Diablo 1 experience, consider Devilution, if you want Diablo 2 experience, just play Diablo 2 Resurrected, if you really, really wanted a hard mod, just play The Hell series of mods, it's at least customisable.
