"Give a guy a gun, he thinks he's Superman. Give him two and he thinks he's God.” ~ An insanely-paced and fun-first shooting gallery reminiscent of an arcade game. A sequel to the masterful action film Hard Boiled (1992), John Woo’s talents translate well into the realm of digital entertainment, as his high art action set pieces were always already video game-esque, in the best possible ways. “Tequila Time” is one of a kind, and the people want a sequel!
Fun little early aughts gothic RPG within the fully fleshed out world of Vampire: The Masquerade, from the tabletop RPG realm. Weird but smooth third-person melee and first-person shooting combat within the diverse environments of Los Angeles and its sewers and spooky mansions. In the universe of VTM, there are complex rules, hierarchies and philosophical factions within vampire society, existing just below the surface of the human world, waging a shadow war with both modern and mystic implications. Entertaining and well-written cast of characters. LaCroix and the Camarilla provide the player with the high class aristocratic experience while Nines Rodriguez, Damsel, Skelter and Smiling Jack (the obvious best character in the game) and the Anarchs let the player live out their dream of Bisexual Vampire Communism! I played a goth Tremere blood witch, and I murdered equally proficiently with my blood magic and my knuckles. As in every RPG, you can build your character how you wish. Rather unconsciously, I ended up making my girl, Bex, both dress and kill like Selene from Underworld 🥰
