Again, here we have a dev team that don't care about whether you'll be able to play their game or not. WASD for moving is entirely unplyable on a non qwerty keyboard and this issue could easily be fixed by allowing key rebinds in the option screen. That one just has a wonderful screen with images telling that you need to use WASD to move. This dev even adds insult to injury by supporting all kinds of different gamepads AND VR controls. Oh the humanity. They don't want players to play their game? Fine, I won't.

... this is a great action platformer, with very good controls, terrific animation and 2D pixel art and enjoyable level design. My game counter displays 4 to 5 hours of gameplay which is quite decent for a game of this nature and pricing and while the "end" is open and prone to a followup, the game does stand on its own. I'm just not sure as to why they implemented the replay feature, in the end it really doesn't matter (as Linkin Park would sing) and I ended up skipping them altogether. All in all, one of this year's games to play.

It's as it's advertised for: an interactive movie. Not a great story, nor characters, not many meaningful choices (except for one of the seven endings I guess), lacking in tech (jumpy videos, broken/missing or badly translated subtitles - french ones are awful at the very least). Avoid at full price but enjoyable for what it is...

I really wanted to like this game, it has pretty cute and well done assets: models, animation, sound design... But the bad level design, making the player lost for no reason with annoying and uninteresting fetch quest, trying to find characters that never seem to be where you're expected to find them. I think there's a reason a walkthrough is as hard to find as this game's end... Sorry, but no... I hate to have to abandon a game, especially when it's not my fault, but the player in me can't stand it anymore. With a more well researched level and quest design, this could make a pretty neat game and while I consider it a fluke, it's a pretty good first try. Hopefully Lionel Gallat will be able to do better in the future.

While the work done on the updated graphics and sound is commendable, it is quite less so on the rest. The whole gameplay reeks of the obnoxious: slippery feel, idiotic enemy placement, strange level design. Add to that the utter lack of checkpoint (I've always spawned back at the first village each time I died) and that strange roulette I have no idea what is does except make me lose ten seconds each time I lose all my life. I personally do not understand how the public is so keen on this one, I shouldn't have listented to the french critics maybe. :P But I say it again, it is quite a decent remake technically, it's just that the out of time gameplay makes absolutely no point today. At least to me.
