A fine successor to the original. Some parts I had despaired of being able to get past without cheating but I eventually won through sweat and tears alone. Some advice I have is to pay close attention to your characters path finding because the game will have them all over the place if you let it. That is the only reason I am taking off a star. If you choose the good option for the final battle against madae and isair, make certain to help keep those monks alive when they come to help. I buffed up Ormis and his flying monk fists kept madae busy while I pounded on isair.
I know RTS games are not as popular as they once were because companies can't monetize them endlessly, but this is a solid title that I recommend to anyone who loves strategy games. I am a little disppointed that we didn't get a Cardassian, Species 8472, or Romulan campaign but perhaps that should be as no surprise. The developers would have difficulty getting all the available races into a single story line. Free tip anyone playing the last few borg missions, use the cube assimilator beam on the Enterprise to give your cubes the corbomite reflector. Your cubes, once enhanced, will be a nightmare for the Species 8472.
