Fallout 3 is by far the most "accessible" Fallout title. It's painfully simple to the point where sometimes the game and it's narrative suffer deeply from it. You can play and throroughly enjoy FO3 from start to finish without knowing a dang thing about previous titles, but playing a game like this so many years later, one can tell that this is a rough and janky experience. I can safely say I enjoyed half of my time with this game. It operates at a genuinely astounding scale, but does not deliver 100% of the time.
Distraint has some real spooky themes and atmosphere, but the fact you are almost never in any real danger can take away from the fear factor sometimes Sometimes the game has incredibly unique puzzles.... and sometimes we get things like the Mushroom Level, where you're just running around through every door you see hoping you don't get lost Regardless, its a fun spooky game with an affordable pricetag
