J'en avais entendu et lu du bien mais une fois la manette en main j'ai déchanté. Une douche froide ! C'est lent, ça demande de nombreuses ressources pour ce que c'est et au final c'est pénible à jouer. Ici on se promène dans une maison vide, en ouvrant tout les tiroirs pour découvrir par flashbacks l'histoire d'une famille. L'ensemble m'a donné l'impression d'être dans la peau d'un cambrioleur ou de faire du voyeurisme. Si vous venez pour joue, alors passez votre chemin. Si vous venez pour perdre du temps dans une maison vide fleurant bon les années 80/90 alors cela pourrait vous convenir.
What a boring game... Grpahics are very nicely done but then the gameplay hit you immediately in the face. The robot is slow, even when running and your faction is rarely helping much against the other two, making the game very unfair from time to time. The story unfold before your eyes and this is an interesting feature but it kills teh appealing as we do not really know what we do there but to investigate on this signal and for that we have to wander around A LOT! Walking from a point to the next one in a game suboptimized (prepare to hit several slowdowns and a map that strangely only displays at 1920x1080 for me so I can't speedup the game). If you are interested in a contemplative FPS (the environnement's very nice) wait for a promotionnal sale.
The tutorial feel unfinished and is not the easiest one to follow, there is no scenario to keep you involved in the expansion of a city. The game is very nice but really the gameplay needs a lot of work for such a pricetag. It is more a game engine than a game itself.
The game is funny, a parody of the seventh generation of consoles. If you like Japanese manga girls with sexy attires then you'll sitck to this game otherwise it is a difficult title with repetitive actions so it becomes boring very very quickly. Save point are quite rare in dungeons but the good point is that combats are not random, you sneak around enemies. After 5 hours I got a crash of the game and decided to save 6GB of space on my HDD, took me actually more time downloading it than playing it. Again, if you like a funny Japanese niche-ARPG then go for it, otherwise there are plenty better RPG on GOG worth your time and money.
The difficulty on this edition is insane. The only way to survive is to get a lot of money and to purchase 5 phase shields and a twin-laser. The music is boring as teh level are way too long so you'll ear the background looping 2 or more times (one of the tracks is around 40 seconds) during a level. I do not know the original game but you'd better stay away from this '2010 Edition'.
Excellent graphics, excellent gameplay and a good learning curve. On top of that add the impressive soundtrack and you get a top 2D fighting game for a very cheap price.
You loved Destruction Derby during the 90s ? Flatout is better !
