The Next BIG Thing

EXCELLENT

What a superb, funny, quirky game ! I loved everything about it, its characters, story, cartoon like graphics, puzzles, and all its craziness. As some other players mentioned, I would love to see a sequel with Liz and Dan. Well done and congratulations to the team of makers.

The Mansion

NOT FINISHED

I don't really know why would anyone buy an unfinished game, even when on discount (as it should be), when there are so many very good games for the same price that are finished ! Thankfully I have read reviews and saved myself of the hassle.

Arsene Lupin - Once a Thief

An excellent game

The game starts slow but very soon the pace speeds up. All in all a very decent game length wise, approx. 14 hours of play time ! The hand drawn comic style graphics are excellent, the story engaging, the puzzles logical, the atmosphere of mystery combined with humor, and one of the smoothest running games I ever played (no glitches at all). A thoroughly enjoyable game which I highly recommend to those who love to play mystery/crime games. NOTE to the makers and GOG: Not sure why the game was not better advertised because I stumbled upon it by mere accident. I think it deserves more publicity.

Broken Pieces

Loved it !

I loved the game. The graphics are excellent, the story decent, the atmosphere memorable, the puzzles/quests not too difficult to solve, and the length with all the side quests is about 15+ hours ! So when the game is on sale it should not be missed. What I also liked is the possibility to choose fewer combats and mainly focus on and enjoy the game's story, investigation, puzzles and quests in which case some sporadic combats did not become bothersome or boring as they usually became to me if too many). The only thing that I did not like as much is the ending which somehow came as a mild disappointment (I expected a more positive one). However, such an open unresolving ending opened the possibility for a sequel which I would look forward to if it ever comes about. All in all I highly recommend this game, especially when on sale.

Myths Of Orion: Light From The North

Excellent hidden object puzzle game

It is a beautiful game with a engaging story, imaginative characters and atmosphere and very good graphics. Apart from the hidden object puzzles, there are variety of other puzzles some of which quite challenging which I enjoyed. Also, the game is much longer that usual usual hidden object games. It is one well rounded and highly enjoyable game. I hope the makers will make more such games because some of us love to play them.

Voodoo Detective

Fun but ...

And easy and fun game with a lot to explore until the very end when you need to fight with the opponent which was unnecessary frustrating addition. It seems to me that game creators believe that a game would not be good enough without fighting and add it even when it is not needed. I enjoyed the game until that point and missed the ending because of that, sadly.

Absolutely Beautiful !

Beautiful imaginative non-violent mystery/fantasy story-line impeccably designed and executed with equally beautiful and immersive scenery and atmosphere. The characters are well rounded, charming, fun and lovable even when they are supposed to be scary. Puzzles are not too difficult, and not too easy, just right ! Yes, you have to go back and forth many times, to search for an object, or to finish a task, but that just makes the game more enjoyable. I wish there are more games like this one. It is worth buying even when at its full price, but when it is discounted, it would be a shame not to. I highly recommend it.

Excellent !

Great story with a twist of a sarcastic humor, nice sharp graphics, good puzzles too, works without problems. The only objection is that it could be longer, but for the price it is an excellent game which I enjoyed.

GRIS

Frustrating

In spite of being advertised as artistic, story rich and poetic (which is all true), it all becomes secondary half way through when you start facing series of ridiculous and unnecessary frustrating jumps that spoils everything nice about this game. It becomes a game of jumps rather than anything else and discourage you to continue. I think that makers sometimes should make up their mind about what kind of game they want to create. Is it about the story and experience, about art and the atmosphere or just about purely hitting the keyboard in desperate attempts to overcome jumping challenges ! I feel that they do it to attract more sales. (I do not mind puzzles, or finding ones' way through the game, not even very difficult ones that I can solve in due time. However jumping is not that.) Such a shame ! I expected much more of this game.

Yesterday Origins

DOES'T WORK !

The game sadly doesn't work. There are no controls and no cursor. Do not waste your time in buying it and trying to play it, as I did. I even tried to playing it without Galaxy and it still did not work. Tried Windows 7, but that did not work either. I am shocked that Microids did nothing to repair by now, 9 YEARS and so many complaints later. Such a shame, it seems it could be a good game.
