"A dungeon crawling microgame for tired people" but now with more complexity, graphics, treasure, maps, quests, and more! Though this is true (as someone who is tired and works 40 hours a week), this has turned more into (in my opinion), its own little masterpiece. The first Dragon Ruins game I've tried was a great entry into this new series. I'd love to see more. For visualization, the first game I was able to beat and do a little repetition with in about 2 1/2 hours. However, this game I have 13 1/2 hours in it, and that was with me doing some tricks to speed through the bosses a bit (I don't recommend for the later bosses as everything gets progressively harder). This could easily take 15+ hours to complete entirely. Currently I am working on one of the secret bosses (I appreciate the reference). Anyway, I absolutely love this game, I love the artwork. If merch came out with the dragons or any of the other cool artwork designs, I may just have to buy it. Maybe come out with an art book? The work and love put into this game is incredible - also the sound and music design is amazing! Devs, if you're reading this, please keep it up! You've got something special here and you've got my support. I may be buying your other works as well and whatever you put out in the future. Thank you!
This game is actually pretty good, and if you're looking for something simple to play after a long day, this is your game. It has replayability if you're a perfectionist so you can go back and discover areas you haven't been before - otherwise I didn't find myself thinking very hard while also having a good time playing the game. I will likely be getting the next game seeing as how I liked this one! There is some areas that need preparation before heading into them as they are definitely more difficult than other areas. Just come prepared when you're playing but the game does a good job of teaching the mechanics without giving any tutorials. I recommend playing this!
