Yes I claimed it free. However after my first play of it where things seemed to work fine at max settings and 1440p each time I have loaded the game since it has been reduced to a slideshow and changing any settings has zero impact on performance. Even uninstalling the game and all the save files and then reinstalling doesn't fix it. Glad i didn't actually spend money on it.
I still have my physical CD version of this game as it is probably my favourite Star Trek game other than Star Trek Online and that took several years to feel good. This was also the game that got me into mods for games and it still has a dedicated group of modders now that have kept the game alive. Honestly I thought it was going to be abandonware for the rest of time. If you like The Next Generation era of Star Trek then this is probably going to be the game for you and honestly can't recommend it enough.
