Spacecom

Simple Rules, Complex Strategic Options.

At first glance, spacecom appears to be simple, possibly too simple. One might think, "With only 3 unit types and 3 structure types, how many options can there be besides just swarm?" The answer is, much more than you might think. Once you finish the campaign which is designed to get you used to playing the game and using the interface, and some basic tactics, the real meat of the game lies ahead in multiplayer. You can also set up matches against AI of varying threat levels. The more I play, the more options I keep finding. Deny shipyards to your opponent with siege fleets. Hide ambushers behind a system no one seems to care about. Control the playing field with your combat fleets, Trick your opponent into abandoning the defense of a system by pretending to invade another. The rules are simple, but the execution is brilliant and the possibilities only increase the more time you spend with the game.
