You know how in other games, say, an aRPG, sometimes you find an item that drastically changes your entire build? And then some time later, you find another item that has an interesting synergy with it, a combination of effects that maybe didn't even occur to you? In Nova Drift, that happens about twice a minute. Every levelup gives you a choice of hugely impactful upgrades, there's several dozen of them, and the combinations are practically endless, resulting in countless fun playstyles to tinker with and try in each run. Does what aRPGs should have been doing decades ago. Combine this with satisfying, Asteroid-like combat with great enemy variety, and you've got a 5-star game on your hands.
