I just do love it. The combat is wonkey but it's a matter of rhythem and strategy. After one or two encounters, you can very clearly understand what is what. This game, being incredibly OLD doesn't hold your hand for most of it, letting you figure out where to go. It looks like crap, but in the most charmingly 1996 way possible. The plot is thatrical and dramatic. Things in this game that you may roll your eyes at feel like they should exist in this game rather than feeling tired and trite. Kain was the first gaming antihero we got and nobody has done it better since.
