This is the game that started it all. Kain walked so Raziel could run! The dungeons are still creepy to this day and the OST is unmatched. It’s worth noting that this is the only game in the franchise to have a top down view, but I recommend checking it out :) You’re in for a wild ride, especially if you continue on to Soul Reaver
Easily the best game in the Tomb Raider franchise. Classic Lara as we knew her is back and better than ever. I honestly think Angel of Darkness Lara Croft is the definitive version of the character. Despite people calling this game a ‘reboot’, it’s really not. It takes place after The Last Revelation and Chronicles with Von Croy. Best story, best OST, iconic stages such as ‘Le Serpent Rouge’ and ‘Louvre Galleries/Storm Drains”. Come on, it doesn’t get any better than this! Now, there’s a lot of hate for this game as it was rushed out the door by Eidos in an unfinished state. So you can expect to find a lot of glitches and slowdowns. Lara’s movements are sluggish and cumbersome. Please keep this in mind when playing, and I recommend you get fan patches too
The 4th entry in the Tomb Raider franchise and the start of a new era. Great game and a massive improvement over Tomb Raider III. The story is more vast and graphics are top notch. Remember the bad ass Lara we get in Angel of Darkness? This is her beginning
