Si vous souhaitez découvrir ce qu'est l'âme du jeu vidéo des années 90, alors Heroes of Might and Magic 3 est fait pour vous. Ceux qui ont un souci particulier du détail et l'envie de profondeur, ne peuvent faire l'impasse sur ce monument. La musique, les graphismes, le fond mythologique, tout indique la volonté profonde de bien faire et de ne pas bâcler le travail. HoM III c'est encore ce monde qui n'avait pas l'argent pour seule motivation. Il est au jeu vidéo ce qu'est le compagnon à la charpente, à la ferronerie, à la maçonnerie : l'objet d'artisans doués et consciencieux. Fuyez donc ce monde médiocre contemporain et ses triples A que l'on devrait nommé triples M : Money, Money, Money. HoM III saura vous tenir de longues heures, pour le plaisir de vos oreilles et de vos yeux.
First of, SAVES DO WORK : 1) Remove the folder containing the GOG dll under YOURGAMEPATH\GOG\King of Seas\KOS 2) Quit the GOG launcher before playing 3) Launch the game Discovered the trick by my own, which made me play the game AT LAST ! Now for the game itself : I guess this game was made to have fun once in a while. The gameplay is not really smooth, mainly because the camera is not 100% free at 360 degrees. The story itself, is nothing but a script to make you discover the main places. As a matter of fact, you could as well just play for fun, following your own path. There is not difficulty, thus I would say the game is not well balanced. The strategy (if we can consider this as one) is to save money, by the frigate, and destroy every ship you want. At that point, there's nothing much to do... So, the game would be fun a few hours ? I think I will go back to this game once in a while, just to check whether my ship could get even more powerful. The skill tree by the way, could be interesting, but as there is no challenge in the game, why would I even bother to complete it ? It's an average game, not bad, not extremely good. It could have been freemium. Everything makes me think of freemium : graphics, mechanics, poor story...
