I've enjoyed many games over the years. But there has never been a game that has held up over time as much as HoMM3. I've never stopped playing for more than 1-2 years at a time, coming back again and again, racking up hundreds of hours on every computer I've ever had. It's the best Heroes of Might and Magic game and one of the best Turn Based Strategy, Empire/City Building games despite (or perhaps due to) its simplicity. Beware the "Remaster" versions which strip away many of the unique elements like Artifacts generated by combining matched sets.
