Strange Horticulture

Fun, intriguing and cozy

Such a great game! Interesting investigation puzzles, intriguing NPC stories and super cozy environment. Some puzzles may be confusing at first, but everything clicks eventually and it's sooo satisfactory.

The Stone of Madness

Great game with minor rough edges

The Stone of Madness is original and interesting. You have tons of fun mechanics that can be combined to solve exploration puzzles in many different ways. As expected from The Game Kitchen, the characters are iconic, the scenery is great and the dub is amazing. I'm playing in normal difficulty and although the resource management can feel tight initially, it's not a problem after a few nights. The game has some rough edges, but they are not too disruptive. The controlls work well given the complex and unusual gameplay, but they are not polished to perfection and can feel a bit confusing. Additionaly, I've had some weird dialogues with characters when talking to them before reaching a new area or triggering a cutscene. I'm also not the biggest fan of the way the animated mini-cutscenes are integrated with the gameplay during the narrative. However, the game gives many hours of fun content and is absolutely worth it. With some additional polishing it would be a much smoother experience.

The Falconeer

Fun and cinematic, but hard

This is a fun, beautiful and cinematic game, with lot of factions and lore, nice upgrades and a great open-world exploration concept. The learning curve is steep but rewarding. I'm enjoying it a lot after almost giving up within the first hour ^^' A couple of things to keep in mind: the camera is hard to follow sometimes, and getting killed at the end of a quest means to restart the whole quest, which can be frustrating. Certain parts of the mechanics would benefit from additional explanations, as they can be confusing, like: certain items, leveling up, inter-chapter progress or the classes (which seem to have a pretty minor role, as you can and should buy better mounts inside each chapter. It's true that some class' mounts are really pretty tho). Also, the select button on the controller should be able to open the world map, as it is cumbersome to access it from the pause menu each time.
