Mortal Kombat 4

Good PC port

I can actually argue this is the best MK PC game in a few ways.

Retro Shooter Rampage Bundle

If you need more FPS games

Operation Body Count has major issues. Corridor 7 is slightly better but comes off like a lackluster Blake Stone rip off. Last Rites does have some interesting stuff. Killing Time for me ends up being the best game in the bundle. I felt that had most categories the best overall. Also it does things in an unusual way to stand out from a lot of 90s shooters.

KING OF THE MONSTERS

Before War of the Monsters

I grew up with King of the Monsters on Sega Genesis. When I found out GOG had it I knew I had to get it. Several years ago I had War of the Monsters on PlayStation 2. Hard to believe SNK did that concept first with a short lived series. This sorta plays like a wrestling game in a city. You can destroy buildings and throw vehicles at other monsters. My controller works perfectly in this game. King of the Monsters stands out in more ways than one. Trust me this game has a way of getting that fire out of you.

DOOM II

Very good package of Doom II levels

Reminder if you want to play No Rest for the Living episode of Doom II, you have to buy Doom 3 BFG Edition. Doom II so happens to be not only one of my favorite shooters but also one of my favorite video game sequels. The new stuff added to help differ it from the original Doom makes the game more interesting. I also like they recreated the original Wolfenstein 3D level as one of the hidden levels. You can play Master Levels for Doom II actually done much better than how Steam handled it. These levels were made by modders of those games contacted by ID themselves to have their levels featured in this expansion. Unlike most expansions, it isn't actually another game but rather extra levels that temporary replaces a existing one. You also get Final Doom that has two long campaigns in similar length of Doom II's campaign. Virtually both those episodes are recreated Doom II with some clear changes. This is exactly why you can run them without Doom II. I would say Final Doom is way better than Duke: Nuclear Winter, Extreme Rise of the Triad and Spear of Destiny mission packs. I am not going to lie you are getting over a hundred levels just for Doom II alone. I would say majority of it is worth your time. If you are a huge Doom fan you need to own this on GOG as soon as possible.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Collection

One of the greatest sequels ever

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 out done the original in so many ways. Just like Jazz Jackrabbit Collection, you get all the levels. You can also play loaded in home cooked levels in the main game or Christmas expansion or download levels. Believe it or not, you can create your own levels or episodes. You originally had two playable characters but they added a third one. All three of them have differences to make the experiences very different from each other. I had no trouble playing this with my controller. You also get JJ2+ mod that's still being updated by the community. This mod works like Extra Crispy mod for Blood II essentially. The purpose behind both mods is updating the games with some nice extras added. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is absolutely amazing in every sense of the word. Not only it is holding up incredibly well but also packed great content to keep you busy. This game is in my opinion legendary among DOS computers.

Jazz Jackrabbit Collection

Sonic on PC before he got there

I remember in school playing Jazz Jackrabbit on a computer. I used to look forward to playing more of it. This game blew me away. This release has every level including Episodes A-C and both Christmas episodes. Some people may get confused what's the difference by selecting which version at first. The one thing that changes in both versions presented in your DOS emulator is Episode X which represents those Christmas episodes. Jazz Jackrabbit is a fast platformer that requires some patience at times and well put together levels. Some boss fights are easy while others can be a little challenging. The bonus levels change the game play from the regular levels. You have to collect a certain amount of blue orbs similar to that mini game in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Some of them have a short time limit forcing you to quickly find extra time to keep playing them. Everything about this game is amazing for it's time. I am very impressed it holds up amazingly well.

Mortal Kombat 1+2+3

Three good ports

This is better than Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection. You may have to take a little bit of time to figure out how to getting your controllers to work for these games. I can promise you, these are worth checking out.
