I've only played a handful of cRPG's in my day. Pillars and Planescape to name a few. The story was deeper than I bargained for. While there is a lot of reading (not nearly as much as planescape), you just need discern lore from story. Once I did this, I realized how amazing the story was and how easy it was to follow. The combat was extremely challenging and really made you plan your attacks. It had a vast learning curve and it took me about 3 tries to figure out the class system and how I could use it to my advantage in combat. That was probably the most annoying part about playing this game, but that does come with all games with rich combat like this. I suggest watching a "Before you play" video before starting this game. Larian you did a fantastic job challenging your audience and delivering a great story. Thank you for this game! Pros: -Great story with plenty to do -Lore was deep (but almost too deep for an average player like myself) -Challenging combat, but still fun Cons: -Combat got too heavy sometimes, and felt unbalanced (yes, I left area and tried to grind before coming back) -A couple bugs that left quests incomplete MINOR SPOILER: I would have liked to see some form of auto-resolve feature implemented for when quests were goofed (by myself). I killed the Mayor's daughter in the library early on. Left a few quests just unfinished and stuck in my Log for the remainder of the game. I wish there was a re-spec system put in place for someone who isn't sure how to play the game so they can mess around with classes and find out what suits their play style. I look forward to playing Divinity: Original Sin 2 and seeing what changes were made!
