recommend st armada 2 with mods
For those who played it back in the day: The game doesn´t crash anymore! Even ship battles 20 vs. 20 or 20 vs. Borg Cube works fine!. For those who never played it: You command a starship. A bit like X-Wing, but with more options. Shuttle launches, tractor beam, cloaking, target specific shields or sub-systems. Its a nice fun game for quick matches. 5-10 minutes per battle. It also has an average campaign, with a few original voice actors. Recommanded: The kobajashi maru mod. Multiplaying via LAN (or per Internet using network tools like hamatchi etc., if you can handle these programs)
Empire Earth was great. What Empires DotmW adds are unique units and slightly better graphics and a huge population limit. @People who cannot use their mouse cursor in the game... i had the same problem (windows 7 64 bit). I solved it with compatibility mode XP service pack 2, run as administrator.
