Once again, gog is as lazy as steam. Up to a certain point in the game, your computer will crash, forcing you to unplug it, and/or remove the batter if it's a laptop. As with Jedi Outcast, it's the exact same glitch that happens on the steam version, indicating they are exactly the same thing. For both these great games, both steam AND gog did a sloppy port, probably not evfen bothering to playtest, and if they did it's even worse. Shame on you gog for being no better than steam and making me waste another ten bucks on this garbage.
Sadly it seems gog is no better then steam when it comes to old games. Just like the steam version, multiplayer (the whole reason I loved this game) makes your PC crash a second after a match starts. Shame on you gog for being so lazy as to not dive into the source code, thoroughly playtest and fix this glitch! SHAME!!!!!!!!
I never played this or fallout 2, but I did play Fallout 3. It was wonderful. The story touched me in a way few others have. "I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give unto they who thirst the water of life freely."
