I saw this back when it first came out and thought "it can't be good because its a movie tie in game." Had I known it followed the Arkham City/Shadows of Mordor formula I would have given it a chance back in 2015. Sharing the combat style of those games, mixed with the world of Mad Max is a good, fun fit. The open world is surprisingly not empty as one would think given the setting. It's by no means a perfect game, it took me a while to get used to the control scheme and there is some jank here and there; but if you can take this game for what it is you'll be awaited in Valhalla.
