I enjoy the new stuff this gaem adds to fallout and the side quests and wrold are increadable to explore, but I have to admit, once you start getting to mid/end-game the story and general gameplay really start to fall apart. The ealry to mid game is really fun, the story of finding Angel and infiltrating the rich folk is great and exploring the different burroughs and their stories was a bit whip-lashy but still fun, but honestly none of them feel like they get enough time for me to get fully invested and you can't even side with them for endgame. For one, I never knew what the hell the 5th column, Camelot or the other one were at all for most of the gaem, and when they came up in dialogue i was thinking "how does my character know about this?", the only faction we really get to know throughout the game is Angel and they're the bad guys. by the time you get tot the point where you are locked into a single faction you have had no time to get to know them. I started 4 a complete newbie to the fallout franchise, and yet through the small quests and intro chracters I knew what the brotherhood was about and what they stood for, same with the railroad, minutemen and institute. here, I didn't even know what the 5th colum was until i was forced to choose a faction to side with and it really irks me that a game that was so full of lore and interesting groups in the early game, fell so flat in letting you get to know the main factions. i would rather side with the Pistols or the Vagrants than any of the others becuase I know them, i did stuff with them. the only reason we know about Angel is becuase We've been chasing them, but clearly I'm not about to side with the bad guys like that. I've been going down the camelot route so far and honestly it's been pretty boring, i don't like any of the main factions of this game and it made me stop playing after a while becuase I was so disapointed. IDK if it's just how I played, i which case that's a game design issue, but still.
