Endless Sky

Fun and engrossing

It took me a while to get a hang of this game, but I've found myself lost in it. I'm sure that I'll be devoting a number of hours to this.

Fallout Tactics Classic

Fallout as a tactical rpg

I've read multiple views on 'Fallout Tactics', and while I agree that there are certain aspects that are lacking, overall, I find it to be a very enjoyable game. If you've played the first two in the series, or even any other, then you need to think differently. Unlike the first two, while there's a storyline, this relies much more on small squad military tactics than a traditional rpg. There are skills that weren't nearly as important in the first two games that become critical, such as sneaking, and there are places where you WILL have to sneak, unless you want to make things significantly more difficult for yourself, and doctor, as your squad members will almost certainly receive injuries that are beyond the means of the first aid skill. Unlike later games in the series, while this is meant to be played in real time, the developers didn't have the necessary time to get it to work as intended, and as such, it's unwieldy and frustrating. Thankfully, you can switch it to Individual Turn-Based, like the first two games in the series. It doesn't do it as well as them, but it at least makes the game reasonably playable. Don't get this game if you're expecting your usual Fallout experience, but do get it if you're up for the challenge of a game that lives up to its name.
