I've been playing for a couple days, trying to master the combos, and while I can respect this games goal to be challenging to the point of needing mastery to complete it, some elements just don't quite gel with me. 1.) The minute long time limit on the black belt training mode. Training mode should be training mode, a place where you can spend your time practicing the moves and see how they work, and finally understand how to pull them off. having to accomplish 8 rather complex moves in under 60 seconds is a hard task, especially when you must start from the beginning every time. I'd say this should have been an option that says like "Challenge mode" Where you have to pull off a string of certain moves on the dummy in a limited amount of time, rather than requiring it to actually "Get" the black belt. 2) Enemy Combos Certain enemy combos have very little wind up, can come from off screen, and trap you for multiple hits unless you can master the parry system, which has the weirdest fucking timing i've felt in a game in quite awhile, although that could be my own screen fucking with input lag and all that. 3) Movement when using the control stick The movement when using the control stick feels off, particularly when running or doing a dodge. On the D-Pad it works wonderfully, however, after playing it for a few hours on the D-pad, my thumb hurt like hell. I enjoy using the stick anyways, so I wish i could feel more comfortable pulling off said moves using the stick instead. However, despite my issues, this game is incredibly fun! The difficulty is definitely off putting, don't put this on for a group of friends to play if they aren't experienced with beat em ups in all honesty, but it's got its own unique feel to the combat, and the soundtrack rocks. Overall, if you're looking for an exciting beat em up with enough bonus content to spend hours unlocking, pick this game up.
