Amazing! The best CRPG I've ever played! If you haven't played it just buy it, right now. You can thank me after. Larian gives the player complete agency in this game. The story is engaging and the companions are some the best ever created. I love that your interactions with your companions can as involved as you see fit. Including kicking them from your camp never to be heard from again. Larian has provided a complete experience without asking any additional expense. But, is the game itself good? The soundtrack, character creation, look and feel of this game, replay ability and post launch support is some of the best I've ever experienced. The challenge is just where you need it to be; walk in the park in some instances and some good tactical decisions required for others. This game is the closest I've ever come to feeling like I'm playing a TT RPG in the computer realm. Simply put, this is one of, if not the best video games I have ever played. I felt compelled to buy copies for my brother in law, his wife and mine. Not even to play together, which would be awesome, but just so they can experience this unequalled game. If you are a fan of RPGs or video games in general you owe it to yourself to play this game. No self respecting library should be without this title. It will be one of those games that people will still be talking about in the future.
I enjoyed my time with DF Remaster. I loved the original of this game and still have the CD. I enjoyed all the extras that came with game also. Vault stuff that had a game renders, concept art and the playable omitted Avenger level. The gameplay is great and looks fantastic on my 4k screen. The cut scenes are also very nicely rendered. However, the game does have some graphical issues. Such as looking up to shoot at a target. The camera goes into a fish eye like lens, which can be a little off putting. Particularly if your a gamer that FPS games can make you queasy after a bit. Also, sometimes, an enemy will appear right in front of you when there wasn't an enemy there a few seconds ago. That said, I would certainly recommend this game to any who enjoy FPS games, Star Wars (Lucas Era), or Good Old Games.
I remember playing hundreds of hours of this game on my old Sega CD! If I could only play 1 fighting game back then, this was my choice. This game has all of the characters of the first three arcade games, all the arenas and all moves plus some new ones. All blended together in form of several towers which the player can choose from depending on what difficulty they would like to play. Which to me only ever seemed like just more matches with the same, limited, amount of continues. If you like old school, arcade Mortal Kombat then you will not be disappointed with this game. I highly recommend it.
Like everyone else here, I remember when extra goodies were a standard on this site. What a difference 10 short years make. I remember fun contests on GOG such as rewrite a Christmas carol with a GOG theme, or highest pinball score competitions. I certainly remember that GOG's mission statements used to be phrases like "Give people a better value and piracy decreases." I don't know what happened. Is it GOG or the dev. I think they both have a bit to answer for. All I have to say is CAD $10.99 for Wallpapers and a soundtrack. In what world is this content is worth this price? Any price point is bad, even a sale price!! Shame on you Rockfish for making this DLC and on GOG for allowing this theft on their website/platform!
