Witcher 1 is simply a gem worth playing, and this is especially held true if you love Witcher 3. While not necessary, reading the books will defintely expand your experience, giving you inside insight to the many easter eggs and the sheer volume of love the Devs put into this masterpiece. The combat system is truly unique but was easy to get a hang of. The world is nonetheless beautiful as the ever more so later installments. The story was a true pleasure. The music, the settings and heart of this game i cannot praise anymore, and i'm sure there will not be much like it. This game is definitely worth playing and definitely worth all 5 stars. Of course some lore is slightly off, but that is a thing of the time, and at that period of time Witcher 2 and Witcher 3 were not yet on the board. But this does not take away from the experience. Here is to the best Trilogy of all time. (In my opinion.)
