The Quest Deluxe Edition

An Underrated Gem

A simple but great game I happen to own on Steam. A mixture of old-school first-person RPG, with modern open world and gameplay systems. Exploring and combat are great fun, but the writing and quests themselves aren't very inspired (which is ironic, considering the title) and way too linear, and its what stops it from being a masterpiece.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

A Beast of an RPG

Few games get me as engaged as Deadfire did. From the interesting world, lore, factions and characters to the side quests, mechanics and exploration, I easily recommend this game to any RPG enthusiast (especially now that it has been extensivelly patched since released). If you've played an Obsidian game before, you will feel right at home: Various factions and gods, with their ups and (mostly) downs all trying to manipulate you into siding with them, characters are interesting and (mostly) very well written, the themes are handled with maturity, etc. It's great. The game also lets you choose between real time combat and turn-based, the latter being very effective in teaching you how combat works. Beware though: Since the game wasn't built around it, it makes combat really slow (I truly recommend disabling it later, using "SetTacticalMode Disabled", once you've gotten the hang of it). I've also had a few technical problems (the game consistently froze for a few seconds after loading during my whole playthrough) and I thought the romancing was a bit shallow. But my overall experience with this game was phenomenal and it's why I'm giving it a 5 star review. I'm excited to see what Obsidian has in store for us next.

Saints Row 2

You just can't fix it.

Possibly one of the clunkiest, badly optimized open world PC games of all time. Unfortunately, that is all I have to say. It's barely playable. For it to run 'properly' you have to adjust almost all settings to a minimum, and still the movement is weird, car handling is horrible, load times are horrendous. Thankfully the game doesn't take itself seriously, which is its only saving grace.

Clive Barker's Undying

Please Fix

Despite having system specs that far exceed the minimum, and being optimized by GOG, I am never able to get this thing running properly on my Windows 10 64 bit system. Horrible framerates and a headache-inducing resolution (using a widescreen patch makes the game unbearably slow) make this possibly great game unplayable. I have asked for help on the forums on more than one occasion and it was as useful as talking to a wall. It could just be me and my horrible luck with most Unreal Engine games (the only Unreal game i was able to run was Deus Ex, only because i have modded it to death so it could be playable, this unfortunately has no mods that fixes these issues). But with what I have experienced, i just cannot recommend this at all. Sorry.

Wings of Prey: Special Edition

Good game if you are new to flight sims.

The game has beautiful visuals, flying around in this game feels very natural and fluid. However, there are a few things you need to take note about: 1- This IS an arcade game... Although it has some nice realism options, they seem to only apply to you, player, but not to the AI. This makes the game extremely unfair and unbalanced if you are looking to play using a lot of realistic settings. 2- The AI is extremely unbalanced... As I said before, the AI plays as if the realism options did not apply to them. Not only that, they are going to have pinpoint accuracy most of the time. 3- The campaigns aren't really that good...
