If you liked Dragon Age or MassEffect where you gotta develope reputation with different characetrs and sides, this one is for you. And you got to pay attention to what dialog and when you choose them. Also I loved that instead of fantasy or steam punk setting they went with colonial/17th century setting. I got tired of knights and elves at this point, and this one is much needed fresh air. Downsides is mostly some glitchies here and there. Camera can be your worse enemy in the game. And some lack of armor and spells is present. Still solid RPG.

They game looks visually very pleasant. I would take those screen shots and put into a kids book. But the fact what changes developers made...it doesnt sits well with me personally. Why games like LocoRoco can have questionable character designs and this one can not? Beside, the original design Chuchel was way better. And it helped distinguish main character from the rest of the cast. This is like when german censorship which is too sensitive and for no good reasons. I cant support people who just feeds the over sensitiveness and play along when someone somewhere 'maybe' offended. Those people wont even gonna buy this game. All they do is complaining and never create anything and censor everything for people who dont even see a problem. I get it that developers trying to protect their product and make game which everyone would want to play. But this move didnt make me want to play this game or recommend it to anyone. Im not an american so I probably just an outside in such matters but I still dont see logic behind this other than trying to please everyone. To my experience when you trying to please everyone you end up pleasing no one.

I was hopping that it will be a sand box game. But other than that, game did not disappoint me. The size of the map maybe not that grand but there are things to do in order to keep your farm running. Its routine at time but design and colors make you feel relaxed and help keep playing. Characters are cute and memorable. And not cute to the point being weird or repulsive. Its nice mechanic where you have to look at the faces of slimes in order to know if you need to feed them. Maybe if this game will do well enough, developers will make sand box sequel. Thou I think 20 bucks for this game is a tiny bit too much. The sale price is exact amount of money i ready to pay for it. If you tired of endless alien shootings or saving the world, and you fan of Stardew Valley there is a chance you will like this game.

I had played this game back in later 90s. I was a kid back then and this game wasn't designed for people of my age. But despite me getting stuck and barely understand what needed to be done in order to move forward with the story, it was fun to look and interact with characters. How many games let you speak with dinosaurs? And yes, this game have lots of intelligent dinosaurs. Story is your typical 'You have to save the world' scenario. And plot is pretty straight forward. But you have enough freedom on what you want to do first. And you gonna meet many voiced characters. Both humans and dinos. As many old games which didnt have luxury to be very big due to technical limits this quest based game is relay in being hard. I spend some time returning and checking to old places and rooms and looking for clues. Maybe it was just because I was a kid back then and didnt have enough brain power to put all the As and Bs together. Thou the biggest problem for me was to orient on open plains. The map system is awkward and takes time to get used to it. My favorite part of the game is the music. Each tune is great and puts you into the mood.

I read about the game from my weekly game magazine back when I was at school. Back then I wanted the game purely for it's nice screenshots. And now I love it for it's immersive gameplay. I already did spend hundred of hours playing this gem by the time of writing this review. The game wouldn't let you sit and do nothing. There is always something happening. A storm way attack your island nation and destroy most of your building which you build because you wanted to save cash instead of building stronger and more durable houses. Lazy contraction workers may spend most of their time in the pub and not building that factory which should save your country from economical collapse it which way eventually make you lose the game. Or people may organize a coo just because you didn't rise their salary in the last twenty years. Tropico maybe hard and will require as much as possible of your attention. But it easily adjustable in the menu. If you want you can remove elections, time limit and make citizens less needy. Then play the builder mode with minimum involvement with nation's economy and politics. Whatever floats your dictator boat. Though it is better that you don't end up in the boat. In the game the boat is what you will see when you ultimately fail to keep your place as the president of your island. I'm not too familiar with latest games in Tropic series but this game is great place to start or just see how it was in the beginning.

More polished than previous game. Pixel art is more detailed. Art is great. Story is still simple but more detailed than the before. (SPOILERS) The dance mechanic is no longer present in the game but it plot friendly since Shantae lost it in the end of the last game. Instead we have item system which you collect through out the game. It doesn't make game as unique as the dances but it makes game faster. Thou I think it would played better on a game conroler than on keyboard.

Story is simple but it is expected from older games. Music is a candy to the ears and puts you in the mood. Game play is solid but feels better if you is game pad instead of keyboard. Dance mechanics is what makes the game unique compare to other games. Its not something 'fantastic' but more like a nice icing on this cake and its basically is it's game business card. Also I wanna point out how nice and fluid the pixel art and animation looks like. The game is simply nice to look at.

Steampunk fantasy is popular, yet people ignore this game. It maybe too similar to the first two Fallouts but only in game play. Complaining about how Arcanum similar to original fallout games is like complaining how Blood looks like Doom. If you fan of old RPGs and like steampunk stuff like Dishonored, you will enjoy it.
I played it when it first came out. In my opinion it is the weakest game in the series. That mini arcade system makes it feel like a totally different franchises. The game would do better if it tried to be it's own thing and not trying to parasite on the popular name.

The game just look simple but it will require some serious strategy. It takes serious management to keep your population order in check. If you keep building an army to defend the settlement, you might forget to keep food production on and it will lead to crime which will destroy your economy and make you unable hire army. If you will keep yourself busy with managing the economy and crime, you will overlook that small band of enemy soldiers which by the time you waiting for your soldiers to appear, will already demolish half if not whole town. And even if you manage to balance inner and outer conflicts you still might realize that you didnt explore map and now you have no clue where to find new source of stone for your town. And you will end up spending ton of time finding the last stone on the map which is already almost all gone because rival settle was busy extracting it. Its fun! However I want to point out that this is a cut version of the game. When I first got it (outside USA) the bugs had Tobacco and were smoking, instead of mushroom juice blue guys had Schnapps, and among animals which you can hunt for food had rabbits. Rabbits provided no more than one unit of food per rabbit, so they weren't very helpful, but I guess some people thought its to cruel to kill small cute rabbit. They even produce small sad sound when they die. At least they didn't remove dryads because of their open fashion and big trucks of land. Also, there was entire expansion which adds fleets and sea battles to the game. Where is it???
