Not trolling (pardon the pun), I actually use this game to relax & get sleepy. Fish are not animated well, specially the bite & fight and I hate the music in the trophy room which I could not find a way to disable or change. So I dont visit that any longer. I'm confused with how some the gears work, because some 50kg fish fight worse than 200kg ones and 20kg fish easilly breaking 57lbs lines. I'm catching the biggest fish with the drag set to zero as even a 30% drag will often break the line. The bite seems random and those fish within 15meters will just swim past the bait. Fish will disapear in the sonar when it gets near the boat and there is no gps marker when you are in the sea. Goodluck going back to find that spot where you caugth the big ones. So basically, it is pretty random, except when you are fishing on the shore where seemingly, the same fish in random decreasing size respawn on the same spot, forcing you to move on to other spots. The fight is pretty generic hence even small fish feels like a big catch and will redline/break your line and sometimes you might be able to predict which fish you got by the way they fight. The usual run is that fish would regain strenght at about 30-50 meters and that is when you get a redline and lose the fish. It is relaxing until you get a strike and it can become frustrating.
The DLC being the price of some new game do not add any value to the original. The fish are too small they do not give any selling or experience value. No map. The island is already by the boat but it does not appear in the fish finder. Its hard to tell whether you can return to a spot you like or not. Avoid this DLC
The gameplay is too repetitive and there is not much replay-ability. The extra scene like dancing & fencing lose their shine quickly.
I was taken by the many 5 star reviews and i have played the game in its infancy. Sadly, nothing changed. The pixelated graphics is a pain to behold, and i feel i have outgrown the humour.
