A fantastic game on its own but the mod "Assembly by Sam" keeps it Vanilla and makes it a fantastic game for the modern age. Stalker difficulty on this mod was slightly harder than vanilla master due to improved AI and bullet damage. I'm not one that believes a first playthrough should be pure vanilla, and this mod although relatively unknown is a great way to have a vanilla experience without feeling like playing a 20 year old game. Vanilla talk alone there are tons of mods out there that transform the game so a single low priced purchase could give you hundreds of hours of entertainment as is the case with all the STALKER games. They're great vanilla and great moded. It's just a great series with a great community.
