Don't expect a modern controlling character, but if you can look past that, the game is pretty fun. Also, to save you have to hit Escape > Game. Not intuitive at all.
I have only scratched the surface, but this game is a lot of fun. It can be frustrating when you find yourself totally overwhelmed, and I think it could drop better loot a bit more often. But I think I'll be spending quite a lot of time with this one.
This game is great! The exploration sequences are unique, and the turn based combat has the perfect amount of complexity. Highly recommended.
First, these games hold up. The gunplay, the AI, atmosphere, all excellent. These games deserve a modern remake. The base game plays with no problems whatsoever. You can edit a text file (easily found on google) to enable higher resolutions. BOTH expansions played to a certain point and then crashed during a level transition. It happened much earlier on Extraction Point than it did for Perseus Mandate. I tried some workarounds I found online but none worked for me. It's a real shame, because Perseus Mandate is EXCELLENT. Even without getting to play through all of the expansion content, this is a great game.
