Hello ! First, I only have the base game. No DLC. That may change in the future. I love the game but I wish there was a way to play it with friends, kinda like Card Hunter. There's no stress meter to pay attention to unlike Darkest Dungeon but there's energy to sustain your three members group and manipulate your surroundings. Also, if there's a member of your group that is down during combat, you may evac to save him/her thank's to the central hub. That said, it is a turn-based strategy game showing two aspects of it : - Boardgame-like during movement, when you explore the various derelicts. - Cardgame-like during combats and through equipements (really like Card Hunter) Atmosphere is definetly here and it's well done. It is a game you can complete but there's also an arena mode to challenge yourself. It's basically a long corridor that wants you dead while you stretch your limits. You will be surprised by some dialogs. I had fun with those, even though they are not the main thing here. The character customisation is really neat gaemplay-wise. You will find classes that you can mix with aspects of others. Great for us Jacks of all trades. I will stop right here. Enjoy the ride, scavengers !
EN I really enjoy this additionnal clan as it is the case for the others DLC due to the little something that changes the usual gameplay. Nothing extraordinary but sufficient enough to keep the player on its toes with the new mecanics. Be it for this DLC or the other clan related ones, I'd certainly enjoy a little storyline to play on, not even a long one but something to introduce the clan with style.
Playing with someone else on this game would be great. Ambiance is there, from the interface to the gameplay. The music is maybe toO generic and forgetable. Having FPS and RTS is something that plays well. We need more RTS variations and this one is definetly interesting.
This game has a short solo squad-based storyline of 9 chapters. Most of your time will likely be spent on multiplayer, which is cooperation on the same maps. That said, the game recieves no more updates. On multiplayer, when you can find some roleplaying people, it's a blast, it's warhammer and this has a lot of background to mess around with. Pay attention to the game mode you join, some players are not friendly to newcomers. My advice : either group up with friends on a private server or find roleplaying dudes and stick to them to enjoy online play. When I write this, lobbies are still created regularly. The environements are pleasing, it feels nice to wander about the wreck of this enormous vessel. Some scenes are striking, you definetly are in the far future where there is only war. Weapons variety is okay, I personally wish there was heavy bolters available, but maybe this is due to storyline. Class abilities seem clunky to me, most of them should be entirely revamped to do something different in my personnal opinion. Also, I wasn't able to find any desciption for the abilities, I went asking people online and been playing with a webpage on my second computer to regulary check what does what. I did encounter some issues with the game. Most annoying one is that I wasn't able to see my own messages while typing in chat during online play except if I was hosting the game. I had random crashes. Game crashes when game ends on a defeat and the retry mission is chosen. Some prompt ask you to press a button or click with the mouse but nothing happens, you end up waiting 1min each time you could apparently skip intro and such. End note : This game is nice in its current state but has a lot of potential and is left aside.
I really enjoy this atmosphere. Be it the music, the game mechanics, the interface, the story, the drawings & the animations. Tested both on Linux and Windows, never encountered any issues. Played with a gamepad. My only wish is that there was a co-op mode, either in the story, via map editor or randomly generated content. These types of games really benefit from having a friend to play alongside you. I can only hope they add it someday, it's never toO late !
I really enjoy the fact that it doesn't require GOG or any game platform to be able to play online, they have their own multiplayer service even if it seems a bit clunky sometimes, it works most of the time. I enjoy the weapon leveling and upgrade system. Each weapon has its own EXP bar that grows when you use it and you have to upgrade one of each weapon enhancer and can swap them as much as you want with the dedicated crafting terminals. It would benefit so much from content updates, I have no idea if they plan to release any. In any case, I managed to acheive one ending and I'm currently playing on new game + mode. See you in-game ! My review is based on the gift version GOG offered to me.
EN This is a well done tower-defense game with deep game mechanics. A tenebrous story with an appropriate graphic style. I feel like I'm with the main character, following his path, while I just get to read pages from his journal. Neat. FR Un très bon jeu de tower-defense avec des méchaniques de jeu poussées. Une histoire sombre avec des graphismes appropriés. On a vraiment la sensation de suivre un personnage alors qu'on ne fait que lire des pages de son journal. Niquel.
