OK, so most of the things were written by others, but I for one enjoyed playing through the campaign. I didn't play any multiplayer since without GOG Galaxy it doesn't work anyway. It reminds me of a bit of Strike series (remember Desert Strike, Jungle Strike etc.), where you had different helicopters and others vehicles to choose and also a bit of Future Cop L.A.P.D. and old action game from the 3DFX Voodoo era. Here you also have to escort people etc. but something is missing. I don't know, what. The difference is, that you are mostly on foot, but later you can use two type of mecs, tanks, a helicopter and an jet. Your choosen hero and every vechicle can be upgraded with different abilities, but for this you need to have points, that you get during the missions. It feels a bit like a very light RPG ;) The environments looks OK, but somehow very similar (you got woods, rocks and water in the later part a bit of volcano/lava). It wouldn't hurt if It had another snow surface or other textures. Yes, there is also a bit of day-night cycle and rain, but that is. I don't know why reason everything looks the same. There are more episodes and every of these has about 3 leves. After you finish the campain, you can replay different scenarios (episodes) if you want, just to get more points to upgrade you vechicles or heroes. Grinding, if you want :) The problems with these additional characters (that you can buy as DLC) is, that you need to play the whole campaign from the beginning and upgrade them the same as you did with the original white character. I didn't have that many framedrops, except maybe, when the boss-fights were ending and there is a slow-motion effect with many particles. Played on: Intel Core i5 6500, 16GB RAM, Geforce GT1030, 256 GB SSD with mouse and keyboard. The big tank was a big hassle to drive (orientation) with the keyboard but I managed it :) Recommended for these who like action and blowing this up.

The graphics and the whole slapstick (is this the right word?) comedy is great, the same can be said for the sound effect, music and the whole gameplay. There is this little black ball-like hairy thing (is it a guy?), that - as soon, as he wakes up from sleep - wants/tries to eat his cherry and well... the adventure begins :) Try the game yourself. Congrats, Amarita!

Everyone wrote already everything, yes, I do like the graphics, yes I also do like the jungle-setting, the shooting mechanics, the nano-suit, the almost open-worldish experience. But, still, there are some sections, that are quite frustrating and very long in the teeth, one of these is the alien ship/cave burrier in the mountain. Also, some parts of the games can be very hardware demanding, like the last part, where you have to defend a U. S. military mothership/carrier and fight big aliens. Well, in this section I've had big frame drops and some crashes/freezes. So don't forget, to save manually here and there. I played the game on Core i7 7600, 16GB DDR4 2400 MHz RAM, Windows 10 x64, 480 GB SSD, Geforce GT 1030. My setting were set to gamer @ 1080p and 2x AA. I've got between 40-60 fps. If I try to compare Crysis with Crysis Warhead, for me, the later game/expansion is the better one. Why? Read my review there :) Anyway, I still recommend to everyone, who likes action/FPS/shooter games. It should work on most modern computers in 720p or even more if you have a better graphics.

I've bought both games: Crysis and Crysis Warhed, the standalone expansion. For me Crysis Warhead is definitely the better game. The scenery, the dynamics, the sequences (even the underground/cave part) and the whole concept is much better than the original game. And the protagonist - Psycho - has, for me at least, more personality, than that Nomad guy from the first game. Yes, the story isn't groundbraking but still, entertaining. For continuity, I still recommend everyone, to play the first game (Crysis 1). One of the biggest advantage in this game, that you don't need to use the "take/use" key anytime, you want to pick up ammor or similar. The game makes it automatic for you. The game isn't very long (about 6 hours for me), but I enjoyed it. Hope, that one day, GOG library gets Crysis 2 and 3.
