Still a great DLC. But a lot of recycling of original mechanics. Dont get me wrong its still a lot of fun and a big challenge. Agony and restatrs all over. But for me it lacks a bit of the original flavor. Gameplay*wise theres is no difference - both perfect. I still gladly payed the 7,99 to support the devs. Its likely more than you can expect for that tag these days. Sadly I bought worse content for more money...

They simply used the Sadow Tactics Engine as it feels - just with another (Wild West) Setting as Desperados used to be. The gameplay and enemies are pretty close to fairly the same as it has been in Shadow Tactics. They mixed it up with new Toons (idk if the different characters were around in previous parts of desperados) and different skill diribution. I liked the story. The game play and maps are also a bit more fun than they are in Shadow Tactics. I just liked it a bit more all around. But lets be honest, its the same game in a different "disguise". Nothing bad about that. A great and challenging RTS game.

The game(play) is as nice as the base game. So you can expect the same quality off of that. The story is lackluster tho you wouldn't expect the deeperst and richest RPG hights here. The game, just like Commandos or Desperados, lives by its neat and challenging gameplay after all. Semi SPOILER: The general volume has to be called a impudent rip off for the price of roughly 20€... Really regretting my purchase due to that reason. Totally overpriced for what it contains.. Go for the base game if you havent played that yet. It offers a lot more. No skills and or playable characters have been added in this expansion.

Pretty generic tho good story and nice character interaction. The many upsides are already noted in other reviews - I would have given it a 5* if the controls were crisp to the point. But I got annoyed by bugging commands, overlaping interactions and sometimes annoying camera angels. Still a great Commandos'esque game - I do recommend it (got it with 75% discount, a must have then).

As in other reviews said, it has great graphics and controlls. But I feel that it lacks long time motivation, compared to other (pixelart) ARPGs .. I finished the game with 2 of 5 Boss cells and it really lacks motivation now, as there is really nothing you can do besides beating the game on the other 3 harder difficultys. The levels feel redundand now - and since you cant keep your equipment its starting from scratch every run. You could also take the daily challenge on consideration - but that didnt feel to attracting either. Sure, you can upgrade your forge and find new blue prints - but it doesnt feel like the greatest enhancement. Many weapons appear below average. And if you add a narrow weapon choice (due to viability/power) to the rather repetative levels, its really not that entertaining anymore (60h in). Should have spent my money on something - but that for me, other seem to like it.. But to be fair, it seems that the developers keep the game updated with patches - from what ive seen, there is a beta for 1.5 atm

Beautiful design, gameplay and touching plot - in my opinion ahead of many other likewise games. Besides one point, that is neither bound to graphiocs, gameplay or story, it was a joyful and emotional experience. Although it mainly lacks real Boss fights, I died quite often, it's really no walk in the park and I found myself on the verge of frustration sometimes - but the difficulty is totally fair if you play attentively. The only thing i didnt like to much, is that imho [spoiler] it's with ~11h ingame time it fell a bit short (refering to money/value for 20€).
