The Last Show of Mr. Chardish

Enjoyable Experience

I was playing Fallout 3 and wanted to take a break from the bleak mayhem of that game. I saw this on sale and it was exactly what I needed, a short, relaxing, interesting and enjoyable experience. I played it on Debian 11 using Bottles, it worked flawlessly, no bugs. I thought the VR painted graphic style was charming and unique and formed a large part of the appeal of the game for me. The music was also relaxing and suited the game. The game play was fun and there was enough variety between the different sections. I liked the story, which was different than any other game I've played. It took me about 3 hours to play, although I spent longer than I needed exploring the environment as well as painting all I could in the painting section. I probably would have completed it in 2 hours without the extra mucking around. To me the game is a mixture of walking simulator, platforming and simple puzzles (only one lighting puzzle required a bit of thinking). I would buy another game in the same style from the developer but sadly they haven't created any more games after this one.
