This game has one of the most flexible character building systems. You can become whoever you wish: Decker (hacker) gunslinger with silver tongue, summoner martial artist, and so on and on. The gameplay itself is fully turn-based with high emphasis on positioning and usage of covers. It is fun, relatively fast and requires a little bit of strategical thinking. Story and characters, however, are on the weaker side. I wasn't able to care about any character except for my own. The story is a bit bigger offender: it started out as search for a murderer of your former partner and by the end turned into *SPOILER* giant space bugs trying to take over the world *END SPOILER* which was anti-climactic. But overall I had tons of fun with it.

I played this game for the first time at launch, in 2009, I think. And it was great. Here is the thing: if it was another game, set in generic fantasy setting, with orcs, elves and other stuff, I would have said that it's quite mediocre. However, it is filled with love and passion for Metal. Your units are headbangers, roadies and Kiss-like painted amazons. Lenny Killmister is the leader of your healers. The soundtrack of this game was the very thing, that has shown me why this genre is loved so much. Sure, it has flaws, but it has good story, lovable characters and units, and I bet that strategy elements are a lot better in the PC release.
