Solasta: Crown of the Magister

Solasta Crown of the Magister

While not as sophisticated or deep as BG3, Solasta presents the players with a 5e experience in a whole new setting. This is a tactcal game with combat by turns, and this faithfully recreates the tabletop experience.

BATTLETECH

I have 1000 hours in it.

This is not MechWarrior. It's a top-down turn-based game. You command a mercenary lance that, unsurprisingly, starts out small. By the end of the game, however, you'll be commanding behemoths with Star League tech. As you take on contracts, your pilots will gain in skill... and it's the skills not the tech that make the game. Reputation with various factions will become important as well. The story missions are compelling and appropriate to athe ca. 3025 era and the dialogue is grown up and pretty well done. PROTIP: You will never drop more than a lance, so there is no need to keep a full company of pilots. A couple spares to fill in while your regulars are healing up from injury is fine. PROTIP 2: Some missions will require smaller drop tonnages. Keep a lance's worth of recon Mechs.
