Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered

Re mastered leaves no excuses.

Reason for one star? A guerilla action in which you're on the back of a jeep with a rocket turret being driven around to destroy EDF structures. You'll be pursued (naturally) via jeeps and AIRSHIPS. The airships are the reason for this 1 star. The ship hovers above you and consinstley shoots you. Raise the turret to shoot and then realise you can't hit it. Why? The developers didn't take into consideration how much you can raise the barrel when versus how close the ship flys to shoot you. You can't raise the barrel high enough to shoot it down. Pathetic. So, now what? Climb out the jeep? Nope. That's a automatic fail. Sit and there die. Now, I am sure that upon a restart I won't have the ship that close, but it should have never been possible in a bloody REMASTER !!!. You can also look towards failure after surviving the hoard of enemies and the destroying the correct amount structures. As the dumb A.I will not prioritze taking you back, but take the route to destroy structures you no longer need to complete. I won't point out the positives. There are plenty here that have already done that. Read those and decide if it's worth a purchase. I am just putting this here to highlight a failure.

Lords of the Fallen Game of the Year Edition 2014

Hope that this isn't Souls.

Never played fromsoftware games. But if this is a easier version of Souls? Than Souls ain't good, but broken. As this is pathetic and not difficult. Hits register even if their weapons don't hit you and the shield rasing is comparable to child not knowing their phyiscal limits. Bought on sale and cause of the DRM. Wish I bought on steam so I could get my money back. Screw this game.

Seven: The Days Long Gone Demo

Play demo or watch a playthrough.

Expierence so far? If this is the selling point? Don't show me the rest. As the demo is meant to be where the attention detail is to make me want to buy it. And I have a tutorial that stopped midway without my permission, drop assinations that don't register, combat that seems to be made for the controller in a pc game, enemies that hit THROUGH each other and a mission design that is not promising. Example being the first misison. Break into a mansion with a spotter that set up "distractions" to allow you access to the security chamber. What are those distractions? Explosives. Where are they placed? They don't say. Found out where via sneaking through rgw courtyard when a sculpture blew up right next to me and got me detected/trapped. Nice oversight. Not looking good for the rest of game. No explanation on the weight system, armour system or disguises in the tutorial section of the Journal. Other oversight. Explanations are in place for how to equip other clothing, but not how they're perceived by the enemy. Parry is describe as pressing the left mouse at the right moment .... what the hell is the right moment? And no explanation as how energy drain works. As they don't define what a speical attack is. This is oversight the game. And it's a shame.

The Saboteur™

Minor Faults? You sure about that?

Minor faults is all I hear in the echoes of these reviews. Must be the disease know as nostalgia as these are not minor but unbearable. Broken stealth is one of these "minor faults "everyone goes on about. Too bad that "minor fault" is incorporated into the main missions creating unnecessary frustration and reflecting bad mission design. Ridiculous wanted system that has enemies spawning from all directions giving you very little room to move about, but it's okay. There are hiding spots ... in which you can only access on roofs with a climbing function that's fabulously not smooth or fun to use , but that's just another "minor fault". You can just outrun them of course, except they all have the eyes of eagles and recognize you from god knows how far away. If you can endure all those "minor faults" that make the game a goddamn choir? Then you can find fun in just blowing things up while fighting a broken stealth system and a unbalanced wanted system. I can not and had to write this to break the echo chamber of everyone loving this game. Look up some playthroughs before buying. Other than that? Good day.
