The good: - many ways to achieve your goals - realistic fealing - serious tone The bad: - downgraded version because of WiiU (faces are lower quality than most environment...) - you are forced to kill bosses even in peaceful playthrough - AI sometimes gets stuck
Graphics: great Gameplay: fun, enough variety to not get old, although most guns suck Story: I typical case of "The king is naked" - people praise it because it is weird and different, but in reality it just does not make any sense. I loved Alan Wake and Quantum Break stories. Value: worth it on sale Personally, I am disappointed, expected way more given the universal praise. I guess I am a sucker for good story with good presentation.
Graphics: great, no complains, not the best but beautiful Gameplay: solid combat, fun, enough divercity, not DS but can get you to sweat Value: great Story: interesting and straightforward, simple yet deepish, not complicated but interesting and touching, makes you reflect on it, perfect for intelligent people who have a life and other distractions, easy to pick up and memorable Mechanics: typical AAA safe formula It's not the Witcher 3 but it's closer to it TW3 than to the other safe formula AAA games Tip: game is hard enough on very hard, ultra hard (with extra nerfs) would be annoying (I am not noob, finished DS3 + SP solo, no summons)
I LOVE Fallout NV, really wanted to like this game. Game is ruined by: - too much reading with no voice acting, tons of text with no purpose - incoherent combat, impossible on the highest difficulty, enemies don't respawn so it is possible to soft lock yourself - too much pointless lore, tons of useless skills, useful ones are not good enough and dmg ones can hurt your party - crappy mechanics - shitty inventory system, items, buff system I've rarely regretted spending money on a game so much and I only spent 5$. Should have played the free Epic version but I trusted the reviews and wanted to play the GOG version. (I am not a noob, I beat DS3 solo but DS3 is actually a decent game worth suffering through, this one is not.)
DO NOT PICK THE HIGHEST DIFFICULTY! From a fun game full of content the game becomes a CHORE. No fast travel in a big map with quests that make you go back and forth. No map marker, which makes finding treasures impossible. Not even compass markers. I spent 80% of the time being lost and horse riding instead of doing quests. This is just unfun. You fell from your horse and turned? Congratulations, now you are lost! Your horse moved while you checked the map. Congrats, you are lost. You took the wrong path out of 4 in almost the same angle, two being almost invisible. Guess what - you are lost. NOT FUN AT ALL. And you can't lower the difficulty, you have to start over. The irony is that I would have finished the game way faster if I started over with fast travel rather than continue to suffer like that. Also some bugs, but not too often and not game breaking. Story, graphics, animations, etc. is not up to AAA standards. I give 4 stars only because the game might be way more enjoyable if I did not have to spend so much time traveling, that I forget what my quest was all about... Developers, please never again implement such BS or at least take away the achievement but for the love of God, let me lower the difficulty without losing my progress!
PLEASE REMAKE THIS GEM OR AT LEAST TELL US IF YOU ARE GOING TO, THANKS If you like the idea of city builders but not quite like the modern solutions - this is for you. This game is like a 3D puzzle - 2D building and pathing puzzle + 1D time puzzle (city evolution can send everything to hell, micromanagement is obligatory but minimal if you build your city correctly). Only big downside is the combat system. I really wish someone perfected this genre. While far from perfect, this is the most enjoyable formulae for city builder for sure. I find all other city builders boring as hell, this game is this good. WARNING: It is possible that they remake this game as they did Pharaoh. You might want to save your time and money for the remake. The chance is lower because this game already looks good enough for modern standards.
I am giving 5 stars because I had NFH: Compilation and I got this one for free. Pros: - Game itself runs at arbitary framerates. - Searching mechanic seems lamer but is actually better for time achievers. Neutral: - Seems to be a PG mobile port. - Animations run at doubled framerate but still only 40Hz (there are 120Hz phones). - Models are FullHD but not 4K (there are 4K phones). They look fine on a 1440p screen. - Pools of water on places where you can put soap on. (It was hard to tell which spots are interactive.) - Rage timer mechanics are more generous. Some levels were extremely hard to 100% before. Cons: - Removed levels.
I am so sad that I lost my disks. Anyways, I do not have a DVD rom in my current build so I am thankful for the DRM free solution. I wish there was a way to redeem my codes if I dig up my CDs. My mom bought them and they were my intro into the amazing PC gaming world.
