VED Demo

Interesting style, mechanics...

In short, like the demo itself. Pros: + The visual style is very good. + The idea and the plot are intriguing, possibly addictive. + Unusual combat system. + Good sound. + Dialogues. Minuses: - Lacks user interaction animations. Well, if the game was made on a smartphone and it was possible to do without the hover animations on the buttons, only the game is hosted in GOG and accessed for the PC. This is very frustrating. - Terrible voice acting satellite GG. Turned off the sound just because this companion constantly speaks in a heroic accent, this is a nightmare. It's better to read subtitles. - Unbalanced solutions. At the very beginning of the game, we can get a buff / debuff that greatly affects the game.

Sin Slayers: The First Sin

This is a casual grinder

I played 9 hours of the demo and got all the achievements. When I first launched the game, it seemed to me that it would be very interesting. Visual style, not complicated, but deep mechanics (as it seemed to me right away). I passed the first raid with trepidation. I thought it would be a challenging and interesting adventure. But no. After a couple of raids, I realized that there was no serious danger from the opponents. I went through the demo company, got almost all the achievements, except for one: die 5 times with the whole team. It was the longest and most difficult achievement of all. Even with fully collected sin and completely ignoring the traps (not neutralized), it is difficult to die. The only place where this can be done is at the boss. Sometimes I had to skip moves in order not to kill him earlier. Given the extremely low difficulty of the game, the mechanics of battles do not realize themselves in any way. I went through the game using the Q and LMB buttons without really thinking about what ability I was using. The mechanics of rage almost did not manifest itself. The 1 Rage ability can be used every turn and is usually the most useful. As a rule, enemies do not survive to use others. Summary: Pros (for an amateur): + Visual style and idea of the game. You can play for a couple of hours. Minuses: - Low game difficulty. The game is more like a casual grinder, the only problem is that the turn-based combat mechanics are not suitable for the grinder. - Primitive "random" events, essentially repeating the events on the map: battle, chest, altar, trap. - Weak RPG component. After the appearance of the blacksmith, you can quickly learn half the abilities of the heroes, if you only understand how to do it. Items are pretty useless. The best option is armor. I understand that this is only a demo version, only after playing the demo I have no desire to buy the full version, but it should be the other way around.
