The optimization in this game was terrible for me. My specs are better than the recommended requirements and I was still having constant framerate drops, long loading times and the occasional freeze on medium settings. Aside from that the game is a boring slog. The main quest is completely uninteresting and the encounters seemed worse than the first game, The companions I found were boring except for Xoti, even the returning ones seemed to have had all the life sucked out of them from Pillars 1. The factions seemed to be intentionally written to all be horrible so you can't root for any of them in an attempt to create an ambiguous conflict but it only induced apathy in me. I wanted to avoid all of them and I lost all interest in playing the game while interacting with them in Neketaka.
