I already have all these games, but this bundle is excellent value for money, they are probably the two best Adult VN's on the market! It's good to see GOG now carrying adult games, like Steam decided to. I didn't buy these games, or any Adult VNs for the sex, I have had plenty of the real thing at age 64, so CGI sex does nothing for me, what I love about them, is they have the best stories and characters than any other genre! Acting Lessons will break your heart, for example, depending on your choices. I would also recommend one other Adult VN, and that's "Love of Magic" Both book 1 and book 2, with book 3 on its way. Another excellent story
Just finished the game 5 minutes ago, and I am still aglow! What a great little RPG we have here! The world created was very believable and that and the characters were very immersive! Lita is charming, and see never gets boring to play and interact with NPCs. The story is not straightforward with black and white between the good and the bad, it's much more nuanced. Your party members (three) come across very well and definitely have their own personalities! This is a good 40-hour game, with a perfect difficulty curve and little in the way of grinding, in the normal sense of that. I loved the story, the characters, the gameworld and the gameplay, so an easy 5 Stars from me!
This RPG has a 100 hours in it as an Alpha! That shows how good this game is! I I call this game "Baldur's Gate in Space". that's how good I think it is! This game is a party based full on cRPG, with crafting, skills, perks, The whole 9 yards while on ground quests... You even get separate skills and perks when you are the ship crew, flying, trading, taking quests in space and on planets, upgrading your ship, getting an FTL drive so you can leave the system you start in and so on. There is even an "infinite dungeon" you can play around in! (remember that game from the 80s, by Interplay?!) So if you loved the early Bioware isometric RPG's, and you always hankered for a sci-fi type game from them, this is it. The developer has worked in the games business for over 25 years, and it's obvious he know's what he's doing! Given he still calls this 100 +hour game "Alpha", I can't even imagine what 1.0 will be like! For me, this is the best Isometric RPG of the last 15 years, with the low price and the huge amount of fun to be had, this game is a steal!
....And I love them all. You can tell they're Soldak RPG's and at the same time they are all different. They have some excellent features not done in other RPG's and their AI is some of the best in the gaming market! I can totally recommend this or any other Soldak game - they're cheap, deep, non hand-holding and sophisticated. Or in one phrase "Old School"! And isn't that what GOG is all about?! By the way - I don't work for Soldak. Just a BIG fan!
I love Civ, I love Total War. When I saw a trailer for this game and the cheap price, and knowing the chief designer of this fist title from a small developer was the head guy on Medieval II Total War. One of the best TW games IMO. I had to get it. Imagine a Civ game just dealing with the history of China, a game much more realistic and involved and a game where you can zoom right in to TW levels and set up battles and watch them develop. No. You don't control you're armies, like in TW, you set the commands prior to battle, like "attack" "attack from flank" "harrass", etc and then watch the results. This, like the rest of the game, is much more realistic, just like general's of old who had to issue commands to their captains and hope everything went to plan (which is sometimes it did!) Some examples of the detail in this game: In Civ, you get the plague. You fix it with some money. Done. In OO, if your city gets the plague (and you don't have the right buildings!) you could end up with a city revolt. The plague and the revolt can now spread to your army and other towns. Not controlled, Plague alone can destroy your civilization! A bit more than a little extra cash in Civ! Your enemies may also get the plague, in their city or in their army. If the game tells you another faction's army is infected DO NOT ATTACK THEM, if possible, or you will take the infection back to your civilization! I have concentrated on one thing. But I could have mentioned 20 other things, like the four tech trees, the excellent AI for diplomacy and enemy AI and so on! I cannot recommend this game enough and look forward to Oriental Empires 2. I have a feeling, based on this excellent first strategy game that one day OO WILL compete with CIv and TW!!! Time spent in game: About 180 hours. Number of factions played: Three. Beat the game: Twice.
This is System Shock portable. A free download that used to be available, "enhanced" by dedicated programmers who worked on the code for years! Some deep dealings have been done between GOG and some nefarious company to "raid" this up until now free "enhanced" version and make money from it. Shame on you GOG. You may be legally in the clear, but morally it sucks! This is not you GOG and I am shocked! (pun intended!)
I have every single Warhammer PC game from this to Dark Omen, Chaos Gate, Space Hulk and Dawn of War. etc. So you could say I am a Warhammer nut when it comes to PC gaming! I would put this game at the top of my list for the best Warhammer strategy title. It has just the right amount of challenge, and creates a very believable world! The replayability is excellent, as is the AI. I still play this game to this day - 20 years later I haven't repeated the gameplay here as it is very well covered. So just to say, for a Warhammer nut, I put this at the top! That might help you...!
